Adaptations - making your
home easier to live in
If you have a disability that makes living in your home challenging,
we can help by making adaptations. We offer both minor and major
adaptations to promote independence. Major adaptations require a
recommendation from your Occupational Therapist.
Minor adaptations
Minor changes like grab rails, small ramps, or easy-use taps can
enhance accessibility. You can request these adaptations through
mybdht or by contacting us directly.
Major adaptations
We consider major adaptations such as stairlifts, accessible
showers, or adapted kitchens. Structural alterations for wheelchair
use are also possible following an OT referral.
Installing your own adaptations
If you want to install your own adaptations, please complete a
home improvement request.
