Your safety
Your safety is our priority. We have a few
guidelines to follow to ensure a safer living
environment for yourself and your neighbours.
Stay gas safe
As your landlord we are legally required to carry out annual gas
safety checks on the gas appliances in your home, so we will
need to access your property to carry out these checks. Gas
safety checks are essential to reduce the risk of carbon monoxide
poisoning and to identify problems with your boiler to reduce the
risk of it breaking down. Gas Servicing will also help improve the
efficiency of your boiler and keep your fuel bills lower.
Gas cooker installation:
Please make sure your gas cooker is installed by a ‘Gas Safe’
registered professional.
Smoke detectors
For your safety, we’ve installed hard-wired smoke alarms in all
our properties. Please report any faults to us promptly and never
disconnect your alarm. Use the test button occasionally to ensure
it’s working correctly.
Carbon monoxide
We’ve also installed battery or mains-wired carbon monoxide
detectors. Never cover or block air vents, as this can lead to
increased carbon monoxide levels. If the alarm sounds or you
suspect a leak, open windows, evacuate the property, and call our
Freephone Repairs number immediately.
